Astana is the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan since some years ago, and lots of modern buildings (some of them are weird, but most of them are really beautiful and functional), are being built in the city. The government of the nation built modern buildings too. Nevertheless, the largest city in Kazakhstan is Alma-Ata, the former capital.

Some weeks ago, the American government had to buy around the 60 % of the enterprise, because if not, they'd declarate GM in bankrupty.
General Motors, and all of its brands of cars, are a symbol of the USA, and their way of life. Now, the enterprise and its models will change, they are going to create eficient, smaller, and non-contaminant cars.
In the photo you can see the headcuarters of GM in Detroit, USA (Renaissance Center)

North Korea is located in the north of the peninsula of Korea, between te People's Republic of China and South Korea. It has a dictatorship government. Its leader of the government is a very secretive man called Kim Jong II. North Koreans don't know even his age and health state.
In his birthday (the know the date when he adds a year to his unknown age) they celebrate it with a expensive and full of people party.
Lots of schoolboys and schoolgirls do a show, as the one of the following photo:
Oh, and North Korea spends almost all its money in army (misils, nuclear bombing, etcetera), but then its population doesn't have enough food...Isn't it shameful?

The flight 447 of Air France was travelling from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to Paris (France). When the plane was starting to cross the Atlantic Ocean, near Noronha Islands (Brazil), they lost the communication with the plane. Thje last signal of the plane was a problem in the electrical system. The plane was crossing a tropical storm.
There was a total of 228 people in the airplane.

I want you to see it, it's one of the most impressive and sentimental photographies of this problem, that is almost under control right now ;)

Postcrossing, the postcard crossing project:
The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free! The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive at least one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world.
Why? Because, like the author, there are lots of people who like to receive real mail. The element of surprise of receiving postcards from different places in the world (many of which you probably have never heard of) can turn your mailbox into a box of surprises - and who wouldn't like that?
There are more than 2 million postcards received since 2005!
How does it work?
First, the short version:
1-request an address from the website
2-mail the postcard to the address
3-wait to receive a postcard
4-register the received postcard in the system
The first step is to request to send a postcard. The website will display (and send you an e-mail) with the address of another member and a Postcard ID (e.g.: US-786). You then mail a postcard to that member.
The member receives the postcard and registers it using the Postcard ID that is on the postcard. At this point, you are eligible to receive a postcard from another user. You are now in line for the next person that requests to send a postcard. Where the postcard comes from is a surprise!
You can have up to 5 postcards traveling at any single time. Every time one of the postcards you send is registered, you can request another address. The number of postcards allowed to travel at any single time goes up the more postcards you send!
You can join POSTCROSSING and know lots of places HERE:
